Lasting Legacy of World War II
Washington, DC and Hawaii
,Welcome Parents! With the unfortunate news about the cancellation of our trip to Vietnam, we have switched to our plan B- Washington, D.C. and Hawaii. During this trip we will take a look at the question "How should we remember the past?" and "What impact do monuments and memorials have on the way we think about history?" The time period that we are focusing on is World War II. Topics can range from the Tuskegee Airman, Japanese Internment, the Holocaust, D-Day, Pearl Harbor, and much more. We will be exploring different museum exhibits, Arlington National Cemetery, USS Arizona Memorial, and different monuments across D.C. and Hawaii.
